Common Passion Groups
A Common Passion Group is a unique organization of individuals and other community groups (groups of groups, i.e., nested groups) ) who share a common vision and mission that incorporates an application of collective consciousnessA mode of awareness, in which we directly experience, through an intuitive felt-sense, our union with the interconnected wholeness of life, and recognize ourselves in others. Our identity extends beyond our individual boundary and embraces the collective, through a free and conscious act of identification, rather than through definition by convention or external authority.. Applications of collective consciousness can be any form of prayer, meditation, celebration or expression of the arts where two or more gather, either in person or remotely (or both), with a shared intention, a coherentAn orderly, highly correlated and aesthetically consistent group of people who've mastered their own inner dynamic, i.e., are internally coherent, and can play in the larger, planetary field where their collective actions, attention and intentions are directed toward the immediate fulfillment of a shared desire, typically in alignment with any of the areas described in our Vision. practice and an understanding that the power of influence of the collective is greater than the sum of the individuals acting separately.
A Group can be of any spiritual, faith or wisdom tradition or any shared ecological or humanitarian concern. We encourage diversity, acceptance, non-judgment and open sharing. We discourage political activism, exclusivity and any fear-based actions, practices or missions.
Each Group must agree to and abide by our policies and assign a Group Administrator who posesses basic web management skills, who manages and moderates the Group Activity and is responsible for the Group’s activity and compliance.
Once a Group is approved, they enjoy the benefits and functionality of the Common Passion Portal: Posting and managing events, discussion forum, live chat, member profiling and sharing, linking with other social media sites, joining with other Common Passion Groups, and other functionality related to local or global community building.
