Preparing for the Eden Event

It has become very clear to me that not only strengtening our bodies and energy fields is important but
the skill and work of Compassionate Listening is essential in preparation for the Eden Event. It is not hanging out in the angelic realms and it is not metaphysical, yet by its principles is very energetic, very deep work. Because of the scope and magnitude of diversity at this year's Eden, this training will be highly beneficial to use to be able to not only serve others but ourselves when we find ourselves or others being triggered. Generally, even though we are coming together in this common purpose of oneness, humans by their nature and often subconsciously, will walk into a room and look for what divides them rather than what connects them and will look energetically for support for either their woundedness or defense mechanisms. Because of this year's event calling for global diversity, this is essential. We inherently know this information but to use it effectively is a skill.

I invite you to consider Compassionate Listening training as part of our tool box to invite everyone to the table, so to speak, in our passion and intention of oneness and really being able to hold that. There is a training in Fond du Lac, WI on Saturday, March 1, 10-5 p.m. if you have had no previous training or you may attend the entire weekend training. Details about the training as well as facilitator, Peter Hwosch are below in this post. Consider hosting a training in your area.

Cultivating peace in the world begins with each one of us. Deep listening and being heard not only cultivates understanding and compassion within us but also relaxes tensions in others around us and helps to invoke
well-being in all. We then begin to see and experience our outer world in a new way. We begin to view each other as Human beings with stories and experiences that shape our actions. It is in this way we find our own inner peace, and create space for others.

> 1998) and the Balkans (since 2002), has informed his work as an artist and
> facilitator. Hwosch’s interest lies in blurring boundaries, raising
> awareness, encouraging diversity, and expressing compassion, emotion, and
> conviction through music/sound, video/imagery and art at large. We often

>
> What is Compassionate Listening?
> Compassionate Listening is a tool for reconciliation used effectively
around
> the world to resolve conflict in widely varying circumstances at all
levels:
> personal, community, and international.
>
> By cutting through barriers of defense and mistrust, both the listener and
> those listened to can hear perspectives and feelings more clearly, allow
> room for different opinions, make more informed decisions, and better
arrive
> at creative solutions.
>
> At the heart of Compassionate Listening lies the belief that individuals
> have the potential to play a much more creative and significant role at
all
> levels of peace-building and reconciliation efforts.
>
> The Compassionate Listening model is based on the recognition that by
truly
> listening, without reaction or judgment, we can see through masks of
> hostility and fear to our shared humanity. Listening is respectful and a
> beautiful way to make a heart connection. It is also intelligent to deeply
> understand another person's perspective. It is a mind/heart approach,
which
> opens interaction to deeper levels of understanding. The listener does not
> advocate a point of view other than the wish to build bridges.
>
> Compassionate Listening creates a strong force for building bridges of
> understanding, erasing the image of "the enemy", and for deep healing.
>
> The schedule of events is as follows:
>
> Thursday, February 28 -12:45-2:10 p.m. Marian College Stayer Center.
> Sandwiches with Substance. "Engaging Across the Divides; Reconciliation:
> Through the lens of Compassionate Listening." People are deeply divided
on the major issues of the day, both nationally and globally. Differences of
> beliefs on political or religious affiliation, economics, the environment,
> to name a few are challenging humanity as never before. How can we respond
> to extremism in all its forms and consider all underlying concerns without
> giving up our own points of view? Please join Peter Hwosch as he shares
his work with bridging divides in the American political arena, with youth in
the Balkans, the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, and other projects through the lens of Compassionate Listening. He will focus this presentation on the political divide in the United States, made all the more pointiest in an
> election year. Free. Open to the Public.
